Amos R. ACORD was born 19 August, 1856 in Wapello County, Columbia, Iowa. He was the son of Hamilton ACORD and Sarah LAMBERT-ACORD. On 27 July 1887 in Hamilton County, Illinois, he married one Julie Ann CLICK, daughter of Elizabeth WRIGHT-CLICK-ACORD-REEVES and Preston W. CLICK. On 1 January, 1930, Amos R. ACORD took his own life by cutting his throat, and died from loss of blood. He was 74 years, 4 months and 12 days old. He was laid to rest in the Big Ridge Cemetery in Sikeston, New Madrid County, Missouri
