Lucile S. LeDuke Lilley, 88, a resident of Columbus since 1985, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Hope.

She was a homemaker, an independent business woman and was involved in the Pilot International Organization. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Columbus and was a member of Modern Matrons Golden Home Economics Club.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dennis W. Aud officiating. There will be no calling hours. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. March 3 at Roselawn Cemetery in Marion, Va., with the Rev. Roger Beitzel officiating.

Arrangements were made by Myers Funeral Service, Hathaway-Myers Chapel, on Pearl Street.

Mrs. Lilley was born in Marianna, Ark., Aug. 29, 1912, the daughter of William L. and Maude McBee Suggs. She married Ernest McDonald LeDuke of Tiptonville, Tenn., and Marion, Va., in 1929. He died in 1958. She then married Walter R. Lilley of West Frankfort, Ill., in 1974. He died in 1983.

Surviving are a son, Ernest LeDuke of Columbus; a daughter, Mary Kelly of Apple Valley, Minn.; a brother, Wilson Suggs of Shalimar, Fla.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
