HOPE - Dorothy J. Dillman, 90, of Hope died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at Miller's Merry Manor.

Mrs. Dillman worked at Arvin Industries 25 years and was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Bailey officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Bartholomew County.

Born in Bartholomew County Dec. 28, 1912, Mrs. Dillman was the daughter of Gottfried and Emma Parrott Dietrich. She married Paul Dillman.

Survivors include a daughter, Carole J. Starnes of Columbus; an adopted sister, Flossie Sharp of California; nine grandchildren, several of whom were raised by Mrs. Dillman; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in February 1970; a son, Wayne Dillman; a daughter, Marlene Hoy; a sister, Jessie Roberts; a half sister, Nell Hedrick; and half brothers, Clyde, Charles and Clarence White.
