OBITUARY - Greensburg Daily News, Indiana, Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1990:
Flora Emsweller, 90, who had resided in the Greensburg IOOF Home the last several years and was formerly of the Buena Vista, Ind., community, died Monday, Jan. 29, 1990 in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Franklin County, Ind., March 26, 1899, the daughter of Elza and Lillie Thompson Alford. She was a member of the Buena Vista Christian Church.
Her husband, Arthur Emsweller, preceded her in death in 1956. She was also preceded in death by one son, Junior McCarty, and by an infant daughter. She is survived by three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville, Ind., with the Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in the Clarksburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Any memorials may be given to the Buena Vista Christian Church.
