Mrs. Velma M. Brewer

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Jones & Son Chapel in Richton for Mrs. Velma Mildred Brewer, 91, of Richton who died January 31, 2015 at Perry County Nursing Center in Richton. Bro. Toby Bryant and Bro. Dwight Smith will officiate with burial in the West Salem Cemetery at Richton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Ivy, Joseph Ivy, Ron Brewer, Ken Brewer, Douglas Walley, Lucas Ray Brewer, and Bradley Dykes.
Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Richton United Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Brewer; grandson, Christopher Ray Ivy, parents, Nathan and Emma Freeman Walley; brothers, Oscar Walley, Gavin Walley, Herman Walley, and Rev. Nelson Walley; sisters, Rosa Lee Walley and Liz Clark.
She is survived by her sons, Sherrill Ray Brewer of Petal and Chuck Brewer of Richton; daughter, Cecile Ivy of Richton; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Brewer will be 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton.
