Almeda P (Ledbetter) Martin was a daughter of William Ledbetter and Charlotte Temple. She was born in Hardin County, TN, and moved to TX in the late 1860s. She was married first to Thomas Willburn Ayers on 13 December 1874 and secondly to Isaac Martin.
