Funeral services for Arthur Bramwell Allison, 80, who died Tuesday afternoon following a long illness, were conducted at 2:30 Thursday from Cecil's Chapel Methodist church with the Rev. J.K. McDonald officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Allison was the son of the late Francis A. & Elizabeth Cecil Allison. He was married to the late Ida H. Goodykoontz, on April 7, 1904. He is survived by six children, Miss Beatrice Allison and Mrs. J.R. Townsend, of Pulaski county; E.F. Allison, of Snowville; Lewis W. Allison, of Radford; Curtis R. Allison, of Sweet Springs, and Tyler O. Allison, of Wilmington, NC. Mr. Allison was born in Pulaski county on August 18, 1869 and was a well known retired farmer. For a number of years he lived in Radford, where he was employed by the Norfolk and Western railroad. He was a member Of Cecil's Chapel Methodist church, and was a steward and trustee, taking an active part in its work during his entire life. Active pallbearers were Dr. R.L. McConnell, John W. Deeds, C. Mottsheard, Jr., C.L. Dent, Grayson Elkins and Robert Elkins. Honorary pallbearers were: John Elkins, S.S. Cole, J.N. Bosang, J.G. Bosang, Dr. R.F. Thomhill, Dr. J.L. Chitwood, T.C. Butler, Fred Dent, Fred Peterson, Charlie Lowman, Crongie Phillips, O.D. Lester, Eugene Cecil, W.P. Jackson, Kermit Jackson, Y.W. Ayers, Boyd Jackson, R.N. Elkins, E.E. Chumbley, L.C. Chappill, A.G. Wilson and employees of Clover Creamery, Radford.
