She was born September 11, 1918 at Wright, Kansas, the daughter of Frank Henry and Elizabeth Gertrude Koechner Vogel.
A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of the Snows Circle of the Altar Society and worked on the Election Board for many years all in Dodge City. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time and working at the Shoe Fetish in Dodge City with her daughter.
On November 6, 1940 she married John Joseph Casey at Wright, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1997.
Survivors include: 3 sons; Richard and wife Bonnie, Hecker, Illinois; Bill and wife Barbara, Wichita; and Dan and wife Tammy, Newton, Kansas; 3 daughters; Rose Mary Freund and husband Richard, Cunningham, Kansas; Kathleen Jones and husband Richard, Dodge City; and Peggy Settle and husband Frank, Overland Park, Kansas; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers; Henry, Fr. Oscar Vogel, Leo, Herman, Francis, Pat and Fr. Bill Vogel and 4 sisters; Margaret Stein, Sr. Dominica Vogel, Sr. Janette Vogel and Loretta Baker.
