He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Doris Castlebury; mother-in-law, Doris Dickerson; daughters, Cindy Bradshaw and her husband Chip, Sarah Bryant and her husband Allen, Patricia Lane; sons, Ron Castlebury, Gerald Castlebury and his wife Deborah, Greg Castlebury and his wife Sharon, Jeffrey Castlebury, Jimmy Campbell and his wife Norma; brothers, Troy William Castlebury and Ralph Castlebury; twenty-four grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Gill.
Raymond was a veteran of the Marine Corps and served in WWII. He was retired from E. I. Dupont after 40 years service. Mr. Castlebury was active in several organizations including, Marine Corps League, American Legion Post #186 and Woodmen of the World Lodge #159. He was a charter member of the Dale Volunteer Fire Department and Falling Creek Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8 pm Tuesday June 2nd at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). His funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park.
