Thomas F. Collins

Redford....Thomas F. Collins, 73 died Saturday at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Redford on April 26th, 1902 the son of Samuel and Nathalie (Durocher) Collins.

He is survived by his wife, the former Josephine Rascoe of Redford; seven daughters Mrs. John (Rosanna) Pelletier of Morrisonville, Mrs. Onufry (Juanita) Baraniak of Saranac, Mrs. Euclid (Nathalie) Charland of Standish, Mrs. Jordan (Barbara) Beecher of Redford, Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Mead of Shelburne Falls, Mass., Mrs. Norman (Harriet) Furnia of Peasleeville and Mrs. Curtis (Catherine) Furnia of Redford; two sisters Mrs. Lena Facteau of Redford and Mrs. Amos (Mary)Couture of Dannemora, and two brothers Leo Collins of Loon Lake and Clement Collins of Rainbow Lake.

He was a farmer and cattle dealer and the owner of Tom's Club in Redford. He also was a member of the Little Siberia Rod and Gun Club in Dannemora, Dannemora 2166 of the Knights of Columbus, and the Union of Prayer and the Holy Name Society of the Assumption of Mary Church. He also worked for the state Department of Transportation.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10am at Assumption of Mary Church here. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
