Mrs. Mary E. Barnett, 95, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Monday evening at Parkview Nursing Home in Iola, Kansas, after an illness of two years.
She was born Oct. 10, 1869, in Wayne County, Iowa.
She moved to the Humboldt community from Iowa in 1898.
She was married to John R. Barnett, Dec. 29, 1887, in Iowa. He died Sept. 17, 1900.
She was a charter member of the Prairie Center Club, and a member of the Center Grove Ladies Aid.
She is survived by four sons, Robert of Humboldt, KS, Ray, of 115 N. Garfield, Chanute, KS, Glenn of Humboldt, KS, and Ralph of Moran, KS; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 3, 1964, at the Humboldt Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gene Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Ellison Cemetery, west of Humboldt, KS, under the direction of the direction of the Price Funeral Home.
