George W. W. Stone, Sr. was among the first Emory College graduates having graduated in 1842. He taught at Emory College for some 40 years. George W. W. Stone, Jr., blinded at age six by the horn of a goat, completed Emory College, supervised farm successfully in Oxford. Lived in former slave Cottage between Stone homes and made brooms.
