In the 1920 Census report, he is alone living in Damon, Latimer, Oklahoma working as a sawmill laborer aged 66. Nine years about 1929 later he would have been aged 75. "Age 75" is scratched on the homemade headstone. At first the headstone appears to read "Age 95", but upon closer examination it does in fact read "Age 75".
