Franklin "Frank" Pierce Broome was born in Alabama, in the central western county of Sumter per his J. G. Putman funeral home record. His Dawes Commission and Census records have him in Latimer County, Oklahoma from 1893 - 1920

He was married to Elizabeth Caroline "Carrie" Back per Dawes records. There were several children on the Census record, but they were all from her previous marriages and an adopted son. In the 1920 Census report, he is alone living in Damon, Latimer, Oklahoma working as a sawmill laborer aged 66. Nine years about 1929 later he would have been aged 75. "Age 75" is scratched on the homemade headstone. At first the headstone appears to read "Age 95", but upon closer examination it does in fact read "Age 75".
