Charles Cecil Died In Kansas Last Week. Former Scott Countian Returned Here for Burial". CHARLES NELSON CECIL, formerly of Scott county, died in the Veteran's Hospital in Wadsworth, Kansas, where he had been taken for treatment, last week and his body was shipped back to Oneida and taken to the home of his brother, JOHN F. CECIL. Mr. CECIL was well-known here and a member of one of Scott county's best known families. He was a veteran of the first World War and was yet in service at the time of his death. He is survived by a daughter, PANONIA CECIL; a son, JAMES BURTON CECIL; four brothers, WILLIAM W., JOHN F., and ASBURY CECIL; one sister, Mrs. VANELLA CECIL KING; and a large number of relatives in the county. Interment was in the Cherry Fork cemetery last Friday with Cooper's in charge of arrangements. (Source: Scott County News, 4 Sep 1942, p1)
