For 25 years a well known newspaper man in New York City. Married to Mary Alice Curley. They had a son.

Died at a private from injuries he sustained after he fell into a coalhole at 165th Street and Broadway.

The son of Elizabeth Edwards and Eugene P. Clover and the brother of Leigh K Clover, he was the the grandson of Ninian Edwards, the first Governor of Illinois,and a great nephew of Abraham Lincoln.

He was 47 years old.
