Husband: Stephen Hutchings married December 28, 1812 in Clark Co, Indiana. He was the son of Joseph John Hutchings and Mary Loid. He was born in Maryland (1780). He married Elizabeth Work on 28 Dec. 1812 at Charlestown, Clark County, Indiana. To this marriage there were five daughters, Sarah Ann, Mary Ann, Rebecca, and two daughters (unnamed). Also there were three sons, John Work, W.D. and Robert J. Stephen served in the 1812 war, was injured becoming an invalid.
He died in 1832. This memorial is set up in the same cemetery that his wife is buried. There is no headstone for him.
