Peter Walraven Gregg, the son of Ann C. Walraven and Samuel Gregg, was born in Christiana hundred on August 9, 1809. He was engaged in farming, and late in life retired to Wilmington. He married Mary A. Shields on February 24, 1841. Their children are Samuel, Lydia E. (born July 21, 1845, married Elwood Bartram), and Anna C. (married Frederick Darlington). Peter W. Gregg died in Wilmington on February 10, 1887. He had been an elder in the Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church for 40 years.
