Died Saturday, the 25th in his 73rd year Christopher Quigley, Esq of Allen Township.
-Carlisle Herald, Friday, 10/1/1813
Christopher, Henry (1745-1806), and John (d. 1784) were sons of Henry Quigley, Sr. (1702-1786). In turn, it is believed that Henry Quigley, Sr. was a brother to James Quigley (1710-1782), of Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, Pa.
John P. Quigley, son of Daniel, is likely a cousin. A traceable line to Daniel, however, cannot be found from Henry Quigley, Sr. Family Tree Y DNA shows one descendant of John P. Quigley as having taken a test (but only to 37 markers). Kit number 763809 currently shows Y Haplogroup I-M223, though this is not a terminal haplogroup, and requires further testing.
