Funeral service for Miss Louise McLeod was held 2 o'clock Thursday, August 18, at Eau Claire Baptist Church with Rev.James Goudelock and Rev. J.O. Reed, Jr., officiating. Interment followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers were nephews of Miss McLeod. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Adult Choir of Eau Claire Baptist Church. Shives Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Louise was a graduate of Columbia High School and Columbia College. She taught for 35 years in elementary schools in Richland District One. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. She was a lifelong member of Eau Claire Baptist Church where she was a vocalist in the Adult Choir and taught children and youth in Sunday School.

Survivors include sisters, Margaret Ellen McLeod Edwards and Mary Duke McLeod Reed (Joe), both of Columbia; a brother, Joseph Douglas McLeod (Betty) of Wallkill, New York; best friend, Bill Montague of Columbia; and 17 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Oswell Boyce McLeod, Jr., and Robert Clifton McLeod, Sr.; and sisters, Mildred Kathleen McLeod and Martha Elizabeth McLeod Bozard.
