John G. Dotson, 920 Yelm Road, died at an Olympian area nursing home Friday evening. Mr. Dotson was born at Jamestown, West Virginia, on May 5, 1877, and went to Nebraska by wagon train when he was a small child. He later moved to Boise, Idaho, and came to Olympia in 1937. He was a painter by trade. Surviving are five sons, Jack J., Olympia, Miles R., Olympia, Clinton O., Olympia, Frank A., Pacifica, California, and Steven B., Olympia; two daughters, Mrs. Celia M. Church, California, Maryland, and Mrs. Robert (Amy) Rowland, Olympia; a sister, Mrs. Lilly Johnson, in Seattle, and two brothers, Oliver C. Dotson, Seattle, and Harry Dotson, in California, 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon starting at one o'clock. Mills and Mills are in charge of arrangements.
