Woodrow Villines, aged 77, of 125 Lincoln Avenue, died at the North Arkansas Medical Center, Friday, February 26, 1993.
A lifelong resident of Boone County, he was born June 23, 1915 at Harrison, son of James W. and Cornelia Watson Villines.
He was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Villines was a member of the Boone County Democrat Central Committee, former Justice of the Peace, and a veteran of World War II, serving from February 3, 1941 to July 3, 1945, with two years of overseas duty.
He was survived by his wife, Dorothy Skaggs Villines who he married August 20, 1983, and two sons, James Edgar Villines of Benton, Wilson Lee Uselton of Nampa, ID; a step-son Jim Wilson of Harrison; a daughter Jere Kae Hodnett of Ft. Worth, TX; a stepdaughter, Shirley Patrick of Harrison; two brothers, Garland Villines and Jennings Villines, both of California; a sister, Bernice Martin of Harrison; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Garvin Villines on January 26, 1981; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 1, 1993 at 2 p.m. at Christeson Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cantrell and Rev. David Talbert officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Watson Villines, J. W. Mount, Jimmy Villines, Dubbie Villines, Don Martin, John Martin, David Martin, Terry Villines, Joe Villines, Jr..
Honorary pallbearers included friends at Herb's Barber Shop and Otto Fuhrman.
