Leon O. Beavens, 75, Askov, died Tuesday, Dec. 30 at the Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake.
Mr. Beavens, a member of the community of Askov and Bruno since 1926, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Beavens; one son, Leon Beavens, Jr. Bruno; one daughter, Mrs. Jean (Werner) Lunde, Askov; four brothers, Albert, Springfield, IL; Leslie, Mankato; Harley, Albert Lea, Henry, St. Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Prail, Janesville, and Mrs. Pearl Murphy, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.
Services will be from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov, Friday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Victor Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at the Askov Cemetery. Music by Clara Tenor, organist and Ralph Wahlquist, soloist. Casket bearers are Curtis Monette Sr. Maurice Monette, Emil Beck, Viggo Lunde, Carl Linge and Floyd Dammann.
