Doris Lavern Tarter PICAYUNE - Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Union Baptist Church in the Ceasar com- munity near Picayune for Doris Lavern Tarter, 62, of Carriere who
died May 4, 1992, at the L.O. Crosby Memorial Hospital in Pica-
yune. The Rev. Terry Ledbetter will of- ficiate. Interment will be in the
Ceasar Cemetery. Mrs. Tarter, a native of Shep- pard, Texas, was a secretary in the fishing industry. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Picayune. She was preceded in death by
her father, Clemon Jeffcoat. Survivors include her mother, Della Jeffcoat of Carriere; three sons, Daniel Reed Tarter, Glen Tarter and Keith Tarter, all of Car- riere; two brothers, Charles David Jeffcoat of Buras, La., and Randy Jeffcoat of Gretna, La.; one sister, Patsy Cook of Belle Chase, La.;
and five grandchildren. McDonald Funeral Home in Pic- ayune is in charge of arrangements.
