Joseph was baptised Dec 21, 1624 in Fareham, Hampshire, England and came with his parents to New England, the son of JOHN & MARY (PICKERING) KNIGHT. He married HANNAH LAMB on December 10, 1649 in Watertown, Suffolk, Mass.
In 1652 he was named a Freeman in Woburn in the Colony of Mass. Bay. He owned land there as per deeds recorded in 1685 where his land is described as north of "Pine Plain" and "Brook Meadow".
