Laura J. (Krueger) Stauber, age 95, of Sheboygan, passed away, May 23, 2009 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.
Laura was born August 13, 1913 in Suring, WI to the late Joseph and Laura Josephine (Dietenne) Champeau.
She married William Krueger, February 8, 1936 in Sheboygan. They owned and operated the Big Apple Tavern from 1941 until 1952. William preceded her in death in 1985. Laura then married Raymond Stauber on December 30, 1987, and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a longtime member of Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church and was a member of the WPS Blue Flames. Laura enjoyed gardening, needle work and her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy (Henry) Nelson of Sheboygan; son, Bill "Butch" Krueger of Elkhart Lake; 3 step-daughters, Lucia (David) Huibregtse of Eden Prairie, MN, Pat (Jim) Thompson of St. Francis, WI, Christine (Michael) Repphun of Lexington, MO; step-son, Steven (Liz) Stauber of Sheboygan; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores Sagal of Random Lake.
Laura was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
