~MY ANCESTOR~
The daughter of CALEB & ANNE (ST. JOHN) COLE, she married ELIPHALET WHEELER of Amenia Precinct on November 10, 1767 in Sharon, Conn. by John Williams.
In probate court May 8, 1789, "To Abigail Wheeler, widow of Eliphalet Wheeler late of Amenia precinct of Dutchess County and State of New York millwright, deceased of Dutches County..." She was given letters of administration for Eliphalet's estate and later sold property to their son, DR. DANIEL WHEELER.
Abigail is found in the 1790 Broome County, Amenia Township, New York Census as head of the household with two males 16 and over and 3 females, perhaps living with her son DR. DANIEL WHEELER.
The date of her death and place of her burial is unknown at this time.
