George Edward Wynn Jr., died Monday at the Iuka Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Tishomingo County. He was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church. He was a Baptist deacon for 50 years and a retired farmer, and he served on the Agricultural Soil Conservation Service and the Farmers Home Administration committees.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Iuka Baptist Church with Dr. Julian West officiating. Burial will be in the New Prospect Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Maude Russell Wynn of Iuka; two daughters, Dorothy Lambert and Betty Jones, both of Iuka; two sons, James Edward Wynn and Lowell Wynn, both of Iuka; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Aldridge, Jack Daniel, Kenny Lambert, Kirk Dill, Sherman Pruitt and Walter Wynn Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the Iuka Baptist Church.
