Services for Judith Kaye Pruitt, 53, Sulphur were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14 at Clagg Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Dougherty Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born February 2, 1953 in Lawton to Clyde Smith and Shirley Travis Smith, she died Tuesday, April 11 in Sulphur.

She married David Pruitt on September 6, 1976 at Gainesville, Texas.

She grew up in the Ardmore and Davis areas and graduated from Davis High School and later East Central University with a BS Degree in nursing. She was a registered nurse at Sulphur Veterans Center and a member of the Faith Center Church in Sulphur.

Surviving are her husband, David, Sulphur; two daughters, Shawna Wilson and her husband, David, Ft. Worth, Texas and Jennifer Pruitt, Sulphur; two brothers, Mike Smith, Fort Towson and David Smith, Ardmore; a sister, Becky Johnson, Sulphur; two grandchildren, Landon and Madilyn Wilson, Ft. Worth and her stepfather, James Gaddy, Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vicki Maupin.

Pallbearers were Larry Roberts, Steve Johnson, David Smith, Butch Beaty, Mike Smith and Kenny Beaty.

Judith was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Clyde & Shirley (Travis) Smith. She grew up in the Ardmore and Davis area. She graduated from Davis High School and received a degree in nursing from East Central University in Ada. She was a RN at the Sulphur Veteran Center.

Judith was married to David Pruitt on September 6, 1976 at Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of the Faith Center Church.

Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Vicki Maupin.

Survivors: Husband: David of the home, Daughter & son-in-law: Shawna & David Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, Daughter: Jennifer Pruitt of Sulphur, Brothers: Mike Smith of Fort Towson, OK. & David Smith of Ardmore, Sister: Becky Johnson of Sulphur. grandchildren: Landon & Madilyn Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas Step:Father: James Gaddy of Davis.
