OBITUARY - Plain Dealer. Wabash (IN) - December 24, 1900
Expired at the Home of Charles Baker Monday night - Funeral occurred this afternoon.
Mrs. Catherine Baker expired at the home of her son, Chas. Baker, Monday night at half past ten o'clock, after an illness of about five months, due to old age.
The deceased was born May 15, 1818, in Franklin County, Virginia, and made that state her home until the year 1835 when she went to Dayton, Ohio, where she was married to John H. Baker. Ten children were born to them, three of which survive. They are William and Charles Baker, and Mrs. Jane Crockett. Mrs. Baker's maiden name was Catherine Altic.
In the year 1859 this family moved to this county and both Mr. and Mrs. Baker resided here until their death.
The funeral occurred this afternoon from the home of Chas. Baker, corner of Miami and Main streets, at two o'clock, Rev. H. N. Herrick conducted the services. Internment in Falls cemetery.
