Mayfield, Ky., Jan. 5 (Special) -- Dr. William Howe Fuller, 65, died unexpectedly at 7:30 o'clock tonight at his home on Backusburg Road.
An eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, he had practiced here for more than 35 years.
He was in the kitchen of his home when stricken. He slumped to the floor and died immediately. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Dr. Fuller was formerly associated with the Fuller-Gilliam Hospital here, but in 1949 he and Dr. A. R. Morgan built the Fuller-Morgan Hospital. It has recently been remodeled and enlarged and now has a capacity of 75 beds.
Dr. Fuller had been a member of the State Board of Health for some time.
He was a son of the late Dr. George T. Fuller, who was a Mayfield physcian for many years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Eloise Wright Fuller, and a brother, Dr. James T. Fuller, Mayfield.
The body was taken to Byrn Funeral Home. Funeral arragnements have not been made.

Mayfield, Ky., Jan. 6 -- Dr. William Howe Fuller, who founded one of Mayfield's three hospitals and helped found another, died at his home on Backusburg Road at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
He was 65 years old. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services for the veteran physician, who practiced here for nearly 40 years, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Methodist Church.
The Rev. J. C. Gilbert will conduct the service. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dr. N. B. Simpson, Dr. A. R. Morgan, Dr. H. L. Hunt, Joe Cole, Howard Shaw and William A. Clayton.
A Specialist
Dr. Fuller, an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, was a member of the staff of the Fuller-Morgan Hospital, which ie founded in 1949. He was a member of the State Board of Health and had been since his appintement by Gov. Ruby Laffoon in 1932.
A native of Lowes, Dr. Fuller was the son of Dr. George T. Fuller and Mrs. Lizzie Lowe Fuller. The family moved in 1898, to where the elder Dr. Fuller continued to practice until his death in 1927.
He was graduated from Mayfield High School in 1916, attended the old Western Kentucky (See PAGE 6-A, Column 3)

College here and then went to the Cincinnati Eclectic Medical College.
Like his two older brothers, Dr. Terrell L. Fuller and Dr. George T. Fuller, and his father, he was graduated from the Cincinnati institution, receiving his degree in 1922, He did some postgraduate work at Indiana University.
In 1927 he went to Vienna, Austria where he took a special course in the surgery of the ear.
Dr. Fuller returned to Mayfield to begin practice in 1922.
In 1928 he and his brother, Dr. James T. Fuller, and Dr. Homer A. Gilliam established Fuller-Gilliam Hospital.
Dr. William Fuller withdrew from that insttution in 1949 and established another hospital. Dr. A. R. Morgan joined him a little later, and the new institution became the Fuller-Morgan Hospital.
Last May the Fuller-Morgan Hospital dedicated an addition which made it Mayfield's largest hospital.
Dr. William Fuller was a member of the board of stewards of First Methodist Church. He was past president of the Graves County Medical Society, and member of the state and national societies as well.
His wife, Mrs. Eloise Wright Fuller, who he married in 1929, and his brother, Dr. James T. Fuller, are the only survivors.
