James E Alvey, 62, owner and operator of Alvey Auto Sales, 710 Baxter, since 1954, died at 6pm, Wednesday at St Joseph Infirmary after an illness of four weeks. He lived at 201 Pleasant View. Alvey, born in Lebanon, formerly was manager of Lehman Motor Company. Surviving are his wife Mrs Anna Berghaus Alvey; a daughter Mrs O E Schilling; four sons, Dr James E Alvey, Jr and John H, Art A and Frank B Alvey; a sister Mrs Mary Sutherland; four brothers, Louis B, T Anthony, Bert and Harvey J Alvey and 11 grandchildren. The body is at Ratterman's 3711 Lexington Road. The funeral will be at 9am Saturday at Holy Spirit Church where he was a member. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
