Sidney was the daughter of Capt. Michael Dewitt Clinton and Roxalana P Fisher Clinton, she married Elmore Marion Derrick Feb 24 1878 in Kanawha County, WVA they had one son Addison Clark Derrick. She died from complications from her pregnancy. Elmore went on to marry Nancy Ellen Hackney and have 9 other children, Addison was sent to be raised by his Grandmother Julia Dawson Derrick.
