Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the White Memorial chapel for Mrs. Belle Thorpe who died December 9 in her home at Janesville.
A native of Indiana she was 89 years old at the time of her death. She had been a resident of Janesville for the past 30 years. Survivors include sons, Orville of Kansas and Harry of Janesville; daughters Addie McMurphy of Quincy; Mrs. Bessie Leal of Janesville and Mrs. Cora Newton of Kansas. Six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild also survive her.
Interment was in Janesville cemetery. A grandson officiated at the services.
