RITES FOR MRS. MISNER AT ORONOGO MONDAY

WEBB CITY, MO. July 30
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha C. Misner, 71 years old, will be conducted at 1 o'clock Mon. afternoon in the Oronogo Methodist Church. The Rev. Gerald Sappington and the Rev. Harry Pitman will officiate. Burial will be in Oronogo cemetery under the direction of the Johnston-Arnce-Simpson funeral home.
The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel until 12 o'clock Monday, when it will be taken to the church for funeral services.
Pallbearers will be Albert Woodward, Homer Kilmer, Lee Widner, Fred Hood, William Linville and William Musgrove.
Mrs. Misner died at 10:30 o'clock Friday night in Jane Chinn hospital where she had been a patient since suffering a heart attack Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Misner was born in Oronogo, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Surface, early settlers of that community. She resided there practically all of her life, except for 18 years spent at Colby, Kan. She was a member of the Oronogo Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Wilber Misner; two daughters, Mrs. Eulah Plott of Oakland, Calif and Mrs. Ruth Hodge of Sunland, Calif; a son Roy Hanks of Phoenix, Az; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jessie Staff of KC and Mrs. Fern Roach, who is in Africa with her husband, a member of the air force; one stepson, T.L. Misner of Commerce, Ok., three brothers, Charles Surface of Oronogo, Fred Surface of Liberty, TX, and John Surface of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel McPhail and Mrs. Faye Kelley of Carl Junction; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
