Son of the late Ezra and Mollie Greb Geis, he was the widower of Dorothy Mae Duffy (married August 28, 1943)s. A lifelong resident of Hitchcock, he was a farmer. He was a member of the Loyal Lions Club. He served on the board of directors of the Sooners Cooperative from 1967 to 1988. He served on the Hitchcock School Board and was a Blaine County FSA committeeman for 15 yearss. He was inducted into the Blaine County Hall of Fame in 1993. He was survived by his children, Jeanette Wright, Sandra Dotter and Danny Geis; one brother, Don Geis; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His funeral was held May 27, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church where he was a lifetime member and church treasurer for over 50 years. The Rev. Roger Freelander officiated at the services.
