According to this mans death certificate he was buried in this cemetery. The name of his father is also given as John Henry Hitchings, Sr, however I am not certain that was true. His mother was listed as Caroline Purcell who was married to William George Hitchings.

This John Henry was a Sr. as he had a son, John Henry, Jr. who was 7 years old in the 1880 census. However, the son doesn't appear anywhere after that.

- Alexina Louisa Spence on Sep 11, 1884 in Norfolk, VA. They had one son.
