Luther (Danny) Adams, age 62 went to be with Jesus on May 26, 2009 following a long illness.
Danny was born October 5, 1946 in Hazel Green, Wisconsin to Luther and Virginia (Jones) Adams.
He was a lifetime area resident.
Danny was a member of Galena Assembly of God where he was a door greeter and made everyone feel welcome who came through the door.
He loved his family and was very proud of them. He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan. He was loving and kind and touched many people's lives.
He is survived by his wife Janet Adams, one sister, Roberta (Robbie) Thrower of Baxter Springs; two sons Jeff Adams and wife Pam of Riverton, Ks, Jody Adams and wife Billie Jo of Baxter Springs, Ks; one stepson Jason Tash and wife Patricia of Indiana; four grandsons Kai Adams, Cody Adams, Dawson Adams and Harrison Tash; three granddaughters Hali Adams, Jessica Tash, and Halle Tash; one niece Robin Gilmore and nephew Richie Thrower.
He was preceded in death by his father Luther Adams, mother Virginia (Jones) Adams; one son Gregg Adams.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 at Galena Assembly of God Church.
Burial will follow in Park Cemetery, Columbus, Ks.
Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galena assembly of God building fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt's Baxter Chapel, Baxter Springs, Ks.
