His death record lists Leonard Brannan & Lydia Wilson as his parents. Oliver and his bride were married at the home of Leonard Brannan. That, in conjunction with the info on his death certificate, is compelling that Leonard is indeed his father. Oliver is listed as 4 yrs - SON - in the 1880 census in the household of Leonard and "Lyda."
Oliver's possible cousin, Nora 1884-1960, married George Alfred Sickle, the brother of his wife Lenora.
I have found 4 Oliver Brannans in WV in 1880. So his parental connection I had attached has been removed in spite of the above death certificate until positive parents can be confirmed.
