Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Young-Harvey Funeral Home in Fort Myers with interment in the Fort Myers Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alto Hires, W. T. Maddox, R. M. Harris, Tom Graham, Asa Townsend and Paul O'Bannon.
Mrs. Booth was widely known and well-liked in this section where she had lived for so many years. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Felda. During her active years she spent much time in church activities. She was the widow of Joseph Hampton Booth, who died Nov. 1, 1947. She was a native of Lithia, FL.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Yeomans, LaBelle; three sons, Carlos E. Booth, Detroit, MI, Ernest P. Booth, Lakeland, Earl J. Booth, LaBelle; a brother, H. B. Lastinger, Tampa; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Snow, Tampa, and Mrs. Marvin Crum, Lutz, besides eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. (Hendry County News, 11/4/55)
