PRICE-Reed J. Alger, age 77, passed away Feb. 21, 2004 in Price after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born Sept. 4, 1926 in Provo to Leo and Marie Price Alger. Reed married Myrna Davis in 1950 and they had four children. He graduated from the University of Utah in electrical engineering after serving as a marine during WWII and Korea.
After retirement, he and Myrna spent their winters in Arizona, rock-hounding, making jewelry and enjoying the many friends they made. Myrna passed away in 1999.
Reed is survived by two children: Denise Fuller of Salt Lake City and Reed "Lee" Alger of Price; and three grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, Ray Alger and Blen Alger and sister Janice Cracroft. In addition to his dear wife, Reed was preceded in death by two sons Dennis Alger and Vincent Alger and one brother Boyd.
Memorial services will be held Sat. Feb. 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price.
