DEATH OF MRS. EBERHART

Mrs. H. H. Eberhart died at the family home in this city at 11 o'clock Tuesday forenoon after a lingering sickness extending through several past weeks. Death resulted from liver trouble. It has been known for several days that Mrs. Eberhart could not live, but everything that medical skill and loving attention could do was done to relieve her of pain and suffering. God in His wisdom saw fit to call this dear wife and loving mother to her eternal reward and the husband and children are bereft of their best and truest friend.

Jennie L. Harmon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Harmon, was born at Licking, Missouri, February 1, 1878; died May 10, 1921, making her age at death 43 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was married to H. H. Eberhart July 12, 1904. To this union three sons were born, Orville, Harmon, and Harold, all of whom with the husband survive her. Mrs. Eberhart had been a member of the Licking Baptist Church for twenty-one years and there is no doubt but that she lived a true christian life, the life of a home-loving, Christ-serving, faithful wife and mother. She was also a member of Houston Temple No. 129, Pythian Sisters, of this city and has held offices in this temple. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and carried an insurance policy for $1,000 in that order.

In church, in lodge, and as a neighbor in the community, Mrs. Eberhart always filled her place well and was faithful to every trust.

Besides her husband and three sons, she leaves to mourn their loss, Father, Mother, six sisters: Mrs. Annie Holt, Mrs. Emma Keeney, Mrs. Mary Davis, Mrs. Tina Wheles, Mrs. Bessie Hines and Mrs. Isabelle Baer; and two brothers, Elmer and Willie.

Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon by Pastor H. B. Tillery, after which the remains of this good mother were laid to rest in the Houston cemetery. The beautiful funeral ceremony of the Pythian Sisters was performed at the grave, a pretty tribute to the memory of this departed sister.

The devoted husband and the three sons have the deepest sympathy of our people in this great bereavement. The husband has lost his truest companion, his gentle, kindly wife; the boys have lost the best friend on earth, a loving mother; the aged father and mother, and the sisters and brothers have lost on very near and dear. To all we join in earnest, sincere sympathy.
