Lemuel Alvin Brown was the son of George and Lucy (Clemmens) Brown. He was born November 27, 1888 in Evans, Montana. He had been a Chauffeur at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and was granted a pension.
MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted June 24, 1918 at Lewistown, Montana. Assigned to Company "K" of 13th Army Infantry. Honorably discharged April 25, 1919 with rank of Corporal.
He married Etta Martin, on April 2, 1913, in Alton, Fergus County, Montana. They had two children, Alvin Walter and Raymond Russell Brown. Lemuel and Etta divorced September 11, 1917. He then married Elizabeth Rogers, on November 1, 1919, in Lewiston, Fergus County, Montana. They had two children, Effie June and Betty Fern Brown. Lemuel and Irene Effinger were married on May 10, 1932 in Kitsap County, Washington. They produced one daughter, Beverly Brown.
Mr. Brown died October 2, 1959 at the Washington Veterans Home Hospital. His wife had already passed away. His daughter was listed as Beverly Skinner of Seattle. He was buried in the Home Cemetery.
