Robert Lester Barrett was born on 23 July 1917 in Wyoming. He is the son of Arthur Livingstone and Julia Alice (Brown) Barrett.
On 15 October 1940 Robert was inducted into the United States Navy for service during World War II. He was honorably discharged on 16 December 1946, as a Signalman Second Class.
Just twelve days short of his sixty ninth birthday, on 11 July 1986, Robert passed away. He was laid to rest in the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery.
