J, C, Awalt, age 62 of Austin died Friday. He was a lifetime Austin resident and a member of the Baptist Church. R.S.E.S He served in the Army during World War II and was a refrigeration mechanic at the University of Texas for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife Medina Awalt of Austin his daughter, Mrs Clyde Smith of Austin a brother Wilburn Awalt and his mother Bessie Whitley of Austin, also two granddaughters. Mrs Roger Hullum and Miss Judy G. Smith of Austin; a great grandson, David Wayne Hullum of Austin
Services were held at Cook-Walden funeral Home with the Rev. Everitt S. Martin officiating. Internment at Memorial Park.
