Mary Jane Jackson was born June 2, 1880 in Utah, the daughter of Frank Beswick & Esther Jane Fletcher Jackson. She married Carl Oscar Hanson, son of Han Christian & Matilda Pierson Hansen, on May 7, 1900. They were the parents of six children: Oscar Thomas, Frank Beswick, Eugene Carl, Aaron Jackson, Ralph O. and Glayds Hanson.
Mary Jane died November 25, 1918 at Mountain View Sanitarium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cause of death was listed as "exhaustion" from "post puerperal dementia", which would indicate that she and Carl had a 7th child, probably stillborn as there are not family records of this child. No records could be found to substantiate the birth/death of a 7th child.
