Susie Rhodes Spencer of Wilmington, NC, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at her residence.
She was born July 10, 1921, in Onslow County, NC, daughter of the late Lawrence T. and Emma Dunn Walton Rhodes, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Spencer.
Mrs. Spencer was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she participated in the Young at Heart Senior Group and the Senior Choir.
She is survived by two children, Harry J. Spencer and wife Sharon of Swansboro, NC, and Peggy Daniel and husband Dennis of Radcliff, KY; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Wilmington, NC.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, in Oleander Memorial Gardens by Rev. Rob Parrott.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
