Mrs. W. R. Hudgins
Mrs. Addie Lee Hudgins, 87, of Bavon and Portsmouth, died on Sunday, Jan. 9, 1972 at the home of her son, Paul S. Hudgins, in Portsmouth.
A native of Mathews, she was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, New Point, and the widow of William R. Hudgins.
Other survivors include another son, William Coles Hudgins of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Hezekiah T. Hudgins, Sr., of Bavon and J. Samuel Hudgins, Sr., of Port Haywood; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Beulah United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Lambdin, pastor of the Beulah-St. Paul United Methodist Charge, and the Rev. Kenneth Whetzel, pastor of Parkview United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery, Susan.
Pallbearers were Eldridge Hudgins, Sr., G. Watson Hudgins, Marion Paul White, Gilbert White, Joe Diggs, Sr., and L. W. "Shooks" Burroughs.
