Syble L. Hilburn passed away Jan. 2, 2008 at Silvercrest Manor surrounded by family. Syble was born in Baker, Fla. on April 2, 1926 to Minnie Lee and Elijah Williams. She spent her youth in Baker and Crestview, raised her family in Pensacola., then retired to Crestview, where she remained until her death. It was through her many stories that the love she had for her family members has been shared. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Charlie Taylor; sisters, Pat Everett and Thelma Smathers; brothers, Minor Williams, Clifton Williams, and Grady Williams. Survivors include her sisters, Barbara Cross; daughters, Karen Gipson and husband Tom of Gulf Breeze, and Amy Seidler of St. Marks; son, Rick Hilburn of Gulf Breeze; niece, Brenda Weekley and husband Jerry of Crestview; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
