Jesse Rossiter, 78, died at his home in Summerfield at 7:30 Sunday evening, following a several weeks illness from paralysis. The deceased a native of Center Township was a son of Jesse and Eliza Bennett Rossiter. For the past year he has resided in Summerfield, having moved there from the Green Valley neighborhood and was a member of the Green Valley Church of Christ. Surviving are his widow, three daughters Mrs. Ethel Kirkbride and Mrs. Ocie Parrish Sarahsville and Mrs. Althea Anderson, Keithtown; two sons, Samuel Rossiter, residence unknown and Jesse Rossiter, Jr. Lewisville; several grandchildren and one brother, Lindley Rossiter, Salesville. Funeral services were held in the Summerfield Church of Christ at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Fred E. Dennis, Marietta officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Ephraim Cemetery by Meek Funeral Home, Summerfield. Journal, 22 May 1941 pg. 4
