Margaret Dietert, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away Monday February 14, 2005 at the age of 89.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret Jean Stautzenberger, grandsons Jerry Sikes, and Jay Sikes and wife Aleta, and great granddaughter Rebekah Sikes.

Margaret spent all her adult life in Comal County. She started her teaching career at Panther Creek School in the Bergheim Community in 1942. She also taught at Fischer Store, Kendalia and San Geronimo School in Freiheit. Margaret then taught in the newly formed Comal ISD until she retired in 1972. Margaret enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies among which her favorites were traveling and painting. During her life she has touched many lives and will be remembered by many.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2005 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Visitation will begin at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at 2:00PM Thursday and continue until 12:30 PM Friday. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to, Eden Home, Hope Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.
